Encourage your Task Force to host a briefing by Clean Water Action in conjunction with CT Fund for the Environment, Acadia Center and Environment CT.  We have visited Portland, West Hartford and Mansfield. Is your town next?

Hi,

I'd like to invite you to come hang out with us to share some light refreshments and discussion of a plan to get Connecticut to turn the corner towards implementing a “shared renewables” policy.  Most of us on Portland's Clean Energy Task Force have solar and we can't for the life of us figure out why a process is not in place to help everyone in CT 'buy in' to renewable installations.

In Connecticut, the legislature has taken small steps forward, but to date has only approved a pair of two-year pilot projects.  Meanwhile, MA and NY sprint ahead!  Good for them, um... why not us?

Portland Clean Energy Task Force member John Rooney and his wife Myrna have graciously offered to host on Saturday, January 16 at 2pm at their home at 20 Bell Court in Portland.

We have speakers lined up from Clean Water Action, Environment Connecticut, Acadia Center and Connecticut Fund for the Environment.  Our guests will outline a shared renewables strategy.  It'd be great to have you and anyone from your team who can make it.

Regards,

Andy Bauer,
Portland Clean Energy
